Description
Silica Gel is a mixture of white and blue gels prepared for selected applications. Transparent Silica Gel is the most commonly used desiccant for providing efficient climatic protection. It is basically a refined form of silica which is produced by the reaction of a mineral acid, usually sulphuric and a sodium silicate solution.
Blue indicating silica gel is impregnated with cobalt chloride which changes from blue to pink as the desiccant becomes saturated.
